A friendly reminder that Alabama’s 1st RAM Clinic will take place in Gadsden
on March 28 and 29 of this year.

If you would like more info on WHAT the Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps is and WHY RAM is important, please visit their amazing website at:

People in Gadsden have already raised $55,000.00 locally and have been meeting for once a week (2 hours each meeting) for 1 year to plan this event which is anticipated to reach over 1,000 people in need with $1 million dollars worth of medical services provided at no cost to the recipients.

6 local churches will feed all 400 volunteers for the weekend.

Doors to the Gadsden City High School will open Friday night at midnight to begin signing people up for treatment beginning 6:00am Saturday morning.  The Etowah County Sherriff’s Department will provide the security and will control the parking lot.

60 dental chairs will be present for dental exams.  Women’s health services will be present.  30 volunteers will be present to sign up recipients on iPads.

Public Health will be present to provide immunizations.  It has been reported that Public Health will be participating greatly in this clinic.

One way to help people is to spread the word about this event so the people who need it most can attend.  Once they are present we need to be present to offer our services.

This is a perfect outreach opportunity to reach people who may have never heard of our Department and our Divisions but may be in desperate need of our help.  Imagine the good that can be accomplished if we show up for this first RAM event in Alabama and the potential it brings for hosting more events in our state!
