Importance of Advocacy

Advocates work through a variety of means, such as raising awareness among policymakers to recognize the importance of speech-language pathology and audiology services as well as the clients and patients they serve.  They call for active and organized alliance among professions for use of crucial technologies and plans that help individuals who are communication-vulnerable connect with health care providers.
