Student Advocacy

SHAA Advocacy Day 2022 was a success! We had several students from Samford University and Faulkner University. We had the opportunity to watch a session of the House of Representatives, and we were even recognized as guests of the House! After the session, we met with Speaker of the House Mac McCutcheon where he shared valuable insight into law-making in Montgomery. SHAA was able to share with Speaker McCutcheon and Representative Daniel Garrett information about speech-language pathology and audiology. Then we met with Casey Rogers from Governor Ivey’s office and toured the Capitol. It was a great day for SHAA!
