Get Involved with SHAA

SHAA invites universities across Alabama, along with their faculty, staff, and students, to get involved with the 2027 SHAA Annual Convention!

University involvement helps strengthen the connection between academic programs and practicing professionals across the state. Through this collaboration, faculty can share current research, clinicians can engage with evidence-based practices, students can build professional connections, and together we can support the future of speech-language pathology and audiology in Alabama.

2027 SHAA Annual Convention

A strong university presence at the SHAA Convention gives faculty an opportunity to share current research while helping promote evidence-based practice among speech-language pathologists and audiologists throughout Alabama.

Quest for the Cup

Is Your University Ready to Compete?

SHAA Quest for the Cup is an intercollegiate scholar's bowl showcasing graduate students from participating universities.

Each university team consists of five second-year graduate students and one first-year graduate student who serves as an alternate. The alternate then becomes the team's captain the following year.

Teams compete by answering Praxis-style questions, earning one point for each correct answer. The university with the most points takes home the traveling Quest for the Cup trophy to proudly display for the following year!
